This course is designed to introduce students to the Serbian language and give them the basic knowledge of the language that is fundamental for further language learning. The course offers a variety of tasks on common topics. 

At the end of the Course (level A1) students will be able to:

(a) understand and use familiar everyday expressions, introduce themselves and others, ask questions about personal details (where someone lives, people someone knows, things someone has, how old someone is, what nationality they are, etc.), and to give answers to such questions;

(b) use basic tenses and case meanings in Serbian;

(c) interact in a simple way provided the other person talks slowly and clearly and is prepared to help, in everyday situations and places such as shops, market, at the doctor's etc.
